ALLIGATOR Universal Sensors sens.it® RS

With the freely programmable universal sensors from ALLIGATOR sens.it® RS, you are equipped for every situation in your workshop: The universal sensors are not pre-programmed, so they can be individually adapted to the respective vehicle model. This reduces the variety of sensors required, which a workshop must have in stock, and simplifies the work process. Although vehicle-specific programming does take some time, universal sensors can be updated again and again and therefore do not become obsolete.

With ball joint attachment

The sens.it® RS1 sensor corresponds to the original tire pressure sensors in terms of functionality and quality. The aluminum valve used in the original equipment and the currently smallest tire pressure sensor for metal valves are connected to each other by means of the ALLIGATOR patented ball joint. The ball joint makes it possible to mount the sensor flexible on most steel and aluminum rims.

The snap-in version of the sens.it® sensor RS2 is equipped with the clip-pin functionality patented by ALLIGATOR. The clip-pin enables a very simple and quick assembly or disassembly of the valve and replaces a cumbersome screw for the connection to the sensor.

The sens.it® RS2 universal sensor can be used...

  • ...for tires up to speed index H.
  • ...for wheels where the valve deflection can be limited to a maximum angle of 25°.

The sens.it® Snap-In valve is mounted into the rim like a conventional rubber valve or removed accordingly.

The following recommendations must be observed:

Snap-In valves for tire pressure sensors are exposed to significantly higher loads than standard valves. Therefore it is necessary to supplement TPMS Snap-In valves basically at every tire change. The TPMS Snap-In Valve for the sens.it® universal sensor RS2 is limited to speeds below 210 km/h and is therefore recommended exclusively for the replacement of TPMS Snap-In valve solutions already installed in the factory. In any case, when using the sens.it® Snap-In Valve, it must be ensured beforehand that the maximum design speed specified for the vehicle does not exceed 210 km/h.

It must be ensured that the tire inflation pressure does not exceed 4.5 bar (65 psi). In case of doubt, it is recommended to use the universal sensor sens.it® RS2 with Snap-In valve.

ALLIGATOR Programming devices

Basically, two variants are available for the programming of sens.it® sensors:

The ALLIGATOR Programming Tool PT1 has been specially developed to program sens.it® sensors exclusively. It is not possible to read out already programmed sensors. The device is therefore an ideal and cost-effective addition to wireless TPMS handheld devices.

The ALLIGATOR AVT41 is an ideal supplement to the ALLIGATOR programming device PT1. It supports the work flow in the workshop, for example, by being able to check the function, sensor ID, tire pressure and temperature of all TPMS sensors installed in the vehicle when the vehicle is accepted.
